In 1857,
Brother Emmanuel, an eminent herbalist and member of the Community
of Marist Brothers at the Hermitage Monastery, developed the final
formula for lArquebuse de lHermitage.
This marvellous product is produced by the maceration and distillation
of 33 plants with multiple properties.
The quality of this Arquebuse earned its wide renown.
Any good housewife, concerned about the well being of her family,
used to have a bottle of this stored away.
Over time this success led to numerous counterfeits.
The Hermitage Distillery also developed other products with plant
bases : Genalpy,
Eau de Noix, Werder... |
